I must admit to my love of landscape art, especially of the English and Dutch Masters. Their works are alive not just because of the stunning scenery and big skies they portray but because of the human involvement within the landscape. Their use of light and the manipulation of figures and animals in the composition is something I try to emulate whenever I can.
