What is the advantage of making a deposit in advance for a portrait? There is a clear advantage in making a deposit before you submit the requirements of a commission. The advantage is in not being disappointed, especially if the commission is for a particular date in the future. I always have 'work in hand'. So a deposit guarantees your place in the queue and that the 'time frame' will be met. I will email you a reminder when the work is started. The size of the deposit is approx. half the cost of the portrait. As with any other commission, the balance is required on completion. |
