What is your advice on emailed images? |
Email images in jpeg format at medium to high resolution. Send as many images as you think necessary, but mark the one that you believe to be the best. Your total memory send should be no higher than 2MB, with typical image sizes of 500K max. |

How long do you take to do a painting/sketch? |
That really depends on two factors: the size of the painting and the number of subjects included. For a typical 'one subject' painting of average size '16 x 12 in.' I would take about 16 hours. |

When is payment expected? |
The initial deposit of 50% is due when a 'mock up' image of the painting has been approved. The balance is due on completion. |

What are the delivery arrangements? |
The painting is delivered using Royal Mail's Special Delivery service. Overseas parcels are sent via International Signed For. |

How do I see my portrait being painted? |
After approval of the mockup image, you are emailed a username and password. Using these you can log into the site and view the images your own client webspace.. |

6. |
Will an image of my painting be displayed on your site? |
Unless you have strong feelings to the contrary, yes. |
7. |
Do you frame paintings/sketches? |
No, that is not my expertise. However, you may wish to know that the paintings & sketches are standard sizes to make framing them easier using 'high street' suppliers. |

What is the advantage of making a deposit in advance? |
I always have 'work in hand'. So a deposit guarantees your place in the queue and that the 'time frame' will be met. I will email you a reminder when the work is started. |
9. |
Do you charge extra for particular backgrounds? |
No. There is no extra charge. I have a variety of background settings, but you are welcome to supply your own. The importance of the 'correct' background will be appreciated when you see the initial mockup images. |

How do I care for my oil painting? |
There a few basic rules - avoid direct sunlight, avoid humid areas, dust with a feather duster, every month or so gently wipe the surface with damp tissues(not wipes), taking care not to press the canvas in. |
